Job Description
- Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgetary processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support key decision-making.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimise the allocation of financial resources.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect organisational interests.
- Support the delivery of cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Strategic Finance Business Partner should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Experience working within a Local Authority or a comparable environment.
- Strong financial modelling, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic thinking.
