Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to support OEGen across multiple entities globally. You will manage monthly management accounts, assist with budgeting and capital allocation, and liaise with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance.

The role requires ACA or equivalent, strong FP&A skills and experience with board reporting. Expect a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• IQ in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) with experience building and maintaining financial models.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data and presenting insights.
• Experience or exposure to board and investor reporting and financial presentations.
• Knowledge of capital structure and fundraising processes is a plus.
• Experience working with multiple entities across a portfolio and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and analysis of OEGen cash flow actuals and forecasts, including capital calls and cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate monthly management accounts and support the annual budget process across OEGen assets.
• Engage with department heads and senior stakeholders on a range of financial matters.
• Support the Strategic Finance Lead in evaluating growth, returns and liquidity through capital allocation.
• Monitor performance vs. plan and develop action plans with the business as needed.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting and quarterly strategic Board packs.
• Review financial deliverables provided by External Asset Managers and coordinate year-end audit responses.
• Collaborate with international subsidiaries to ensure consistent accounting policies and processes.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial analysis, reporting tools and processes.
