Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Portfolio Associate to join the OEGEN Funds Team. You’ll support the Senior Portfolio Manager across the full fund-management cycle, including portfolio analysis, valuations, cash-flow forecasting, debt, FX, hedging, governance and investor reporting.

The role spans listed funds, semi-liquid strategies and private funds, with exposure to renewables and private markets. The ideal candidate has a strong finance or accounting background, 3+ years in fund management

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant experience in fund management, fund accounting, financial reporting, audit, transaction services, infrastructure, renewable energy, valuations, investment analysis or a comparable analytical role.
• A CFA or accounting qualification would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of fund-management processes, including NAV, valuations, AUM, investor reporting, cash-flow forecasting, distributions, audit and governance.
• Strong Excel and financial-modelling skills, including the ability to review models, analyse assumptions, reconcile outputs and perform scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Experience of analysing investment, fund or asset performance and creating high-quality investor or management information.
• Experience with renewable energy, infrastructure, real assets, private markets, listed investment vehicles or multi-asset portfolios would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Portfolio management: support day-to-day management of portfolios and monitor investments.
• Valuations and financial modelling: support monthly/quarterly/annual valuation processes.
• Cash flow, debt and hedging: assist forecasting, distributions, liquidity and covenants.
• Allocation and underlying fund analysis: analyze asset allocation and fund exposures.
• Investor reporting: contribute to investor reports, factsheets and board materials.
• Private fund NAV and reporting: support NAV processes and reconcile movements.
• Risk and governance: monitor risks and ensure governance filings are accurate.
• Process improvement: maintain fund-level data and seek reporting automation.
