Robin Hood Primary School in Leeds seeks an EYFS Leader for a permanent, 32.5-hour post during term time to guide Nursery and Reception. The role focuses on strategic leadership, curriculum development, and raising standards, while continuing hands-on classroom practice as a lead practitioner.

The successful candidate will support staff development, monitor progress, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive school improvement and ensure effective transitions to Key Stage 1.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong, proven track record of effective primary/EYFS teaching and evidence of outstanding classroom practice.
• Phase & Team Leadership: demonstrated experience of leading a team, coaching and mentoring colleagues, contributing to school development.
• EYFS Expertise: deep knowledge of EYFS statutory curriculum requirements, baseline assessment, early phonics, language acquisition, and pedagogy.

Responsabilités

• Lead and inspire with a clear EYFS vision across Nursery and Reception.
• Drive teaching, planning and assessment, monitoring progress and providing feedback for improvement.
• Mentor EYFS staff and support professional development, wellbeing, and performance management.
• Develop a rich EYFS curriculum that is well-sequenced and play-based, meeting diverse needs.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to shape SDP and ensure smooth transitions to Year 1.
