Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a senior environmental professional to lead and shape environmental outcomes across major AMP8 programmes, including national-scale water projects. Based at our Coventry Head Office, you’ll operate at the interface of environment, planning, regulation and delivery, influencing decisions and ensuring environmental risks are managed credibly and proportionately.

• Senior environmental professional with experience in regulated infrastructure.
• Experience leading environmental investigations across project lifecycles.
• Ability to influence decisions and manage environmental risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental investigations and assessments across the full project lifecycle.
• Act as senior environmental authority for assigned programmes, setting direction and assuring quality.
• Manage and coordinate environmental consultants delivering regulator-ready outputs.
• Build relationships with regulators and planning authorities to align scopes early.
• Identify environmental risks and opportunities and develop practical solutions.
• Contribute environmental inputs to regulatory submissions, including RAPID gate papers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor project teams.
• Work with multi-disciplinary team to build SRO knowledge.
