Job summary

Stantec is seeking a strategic and driven Regional Commercial Lead to join our UK Water business. Based in the South & Midlands, the role focuses on AMP8 programs across Severn Trent, Dŵr Cymru, Wessex and other key frameworks, shaping the commercial approach with clients and partners.

The role requires leadership in bids, risk balance, and collaboration with senior teams to deliver sustainable growth across the region. Reading, Birmingham, and other southern/midlands offices are options.

Qualifications

• Education: Ideally qualified with a relevant degree (Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business).
• Industry knowledge: Deep experience in the regulated water sector; design and build or consultancy experience is an advantage.
• Technical expertise: NEC4 contract management practices and Alliance/Enterprise delivery models in the water industry.
• Analytical skills: Strong commercial acumen with ability to interpret complex financial reports.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel across the South of the UK to client and project offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight on the commercial elements of bids and developing competitive proposals.
• Lead stakeholder management by building and maintaining relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads.
• Implement and improve controlled commercial strategies to enable business growth.
• Drive operational excellence with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Navigate new regulatory incentives and delivery models in AMP8.
