Job summary

Orbis Investment Management Limited is modernising its core platform and data capabilities. We seek an Enterprise Architect who can bridge business strategy and technology, shaping the enterprise roadmap and guiding major programmes with a clear architecture direction.

You will collaborate with investment, business and technology teams, set enterprise-wide standards, and drive AI-enabled transformations while ensuring delivery against strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture or a senior transformation role, with a track record of turning strategy into roadmaps that get delivered, not shelved.
• Led or driven change as a senior architect through a transformation of comparable scale and rigour to Orbis’ platform strategy.
• Proven experience in asset management or comparable financial services, with strong knowledge of the sector’s vendor and technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own Orbis’ business capability maps, target-state views and enterprise roadmap, and drive their adoption across the change book so programmes build toward one destination, not several.
• Contribute to the architecture principles, standards and guardrails set at enterprise level and hold the function and the business to delivering against them.
• Drive alignment with business and investment leadership on platform strategy, incorporating and challenging their requirements until decisions are made.
• Translate enterprise direction into pillar-facing guidance with the Pillar Architects, and drive it through to delivery, keeping direction and delivery reality connected.
• Drive vendor RFPs and technology assessments to a decision, bringing a business architecture lens and a working view of the asset management vendor and technology landscape.
• Flag business architecture gaps, blockers and dependencies early, and drive them to resolution before they become delivery problems.
• Drive the adoption of AI in how the function designs and evolves systems, pushing where it changes ways of working, not just assessing it.
