Job summary

Dunelm is seeking an ER Partner to provide expert employee relations support to allocated business areas, advising leaders on fair, compliant handling of people matters and working with People Partners to manage risks and drive performance.

You will escalate high‑risk or precedent‑setting issues, support organisational change, and use data to improve colleague experience, governance and case handling, ensuring timely, practical guidance across the business.

Qualifications

  • Strong employee relations expertise with the ability to oversee complex cases and ensure compliant outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law applied in a commercial context.
  • Ability to identify, assess and mitigate people-related risk.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills to hold leaders to account.
  • Coaching capability to develop manager confidence and accountability.
  • Analytical thinking using data and insight to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary ER partner for allocated business areas with timely, pragmatic advice.
  • Support managers in handling conduct, capability, grievance, absence and performance cases.
  • Escalate high-risk, legally complex or precedent-setting matters within authorized levels.
  • Lead organisational change activity and TUPE-related work where appropriate.
  • Use ER data to identify trends and improve colleague outcomes; ensure governance and records are compliant.
