Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a drainage engineering leader to shape and deliver drainage solutions across complex highway, rail and transportation projects in the UK. You will provide technical leadership, make design decisions and mentor engineers, ensuring practical, sustainable outcomes.

From feasibility through to detailed design and delivery, you’ll work with clients and multidisciplinary teams, influence decisions, and help grow the drainage capability across the business while delivering

Qualifications

Strong professional experience in drainage engineering within highways/rail or similar infrastructure.
Ability to lead drainage design and provide assurance on complex projects.
Experience taking drainage packages through multiple design stages.
Knowledge of UK drainage design principles and standards (DMRB and rail standards).
Experience applying SuDS to infrastructure projects.
Experience using drainage modelling and design tools.
Understanding of health, safety and risk in engineering design.
Experience mentoring and developing other engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead drainage design and provide technical direction for complex highway/rail projects.
Ensure designs are practical, sustainable and meet project requirements.
Mentor and develop engineers within the drainage team.
Support bids and future opportunities with clients and technical staff.
