Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Digital & Technology Portfolio Manager to lead the technology strategy, delivery and governance of a portfolio of products and systems within Operations Delivery Intelligence. You will ensure the airline's technology estate remains secure, scalable and reliable, while supporting investment in new solutions that improve operational performance and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience delivering complex, multi‑technology programmes.
• Experience gained within a top‑tier technology consulting firm, including a Big Four organisation.
• Proven track record of managing and completing multiple programmes on time and within budget.
• Master’s‑level qualification in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science is advantageous.
• Experience in regulated or operationally critical industries such as aviation or transport is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with senior business and Digital stakeholders as a strategic technology adviser.
• Translate priorities into a technology agenda that delivers value, resilience and customer outcomes.
• Advise on technical feasibility, risks and trade-offs to inform decisions.
• Partner with Product Managers to maintain product roadmaps and balance priorities.
• Lead technology cost‑planning activity and support business cases.
• Ensure governance, standards and risk management across programmes.
• Lead or support cross‑business technology workstreams within transformation initiatives.
• Develop team capability through coaching and mentoring.
