Job summary

OFG Education is seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join the senior leadership team at Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge. You will shape strategic direction across teaching, curriculum, assessment and school improvement, ensuring high educational provision and outcomes for all students.

You will drive improvements in student progress through data-informed evaluation, lead professional development, coaching and line management, and deputise for the Headteacher when required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
• A degree-level qualification is required
• NPQH or commitment to completing the qualification
• Minimum of three years’ successful experience in a senior leadership position
• Significant experience leading teaching, learning and curriculum provision
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy and best practice
• Understanding of Independent School Standards and inspection requirements
• Flexible, resilient and solution‑focused leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for student attainment, progress, engagement and achievement.
• Lead whole-school improvement initiatives relating to teaching, learning and curriculum development.
• Oversee curriculum pathways, including accreditation such as AQA and ASDAN.
• Lead quality assurance, self-evaluation and improvement planning processes.
• Monitor and analyse educational performance data to drive decisions and improvements.
• Hold leaders accountable for standards, outcomes and provision quality.
• Contribute to the School Development Plan and self-evaluation framework.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and inspection requirements.
• Lead and develop staff through performance management and professional development.
