Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a proactive Commercial Manager in Hertfordshire to cover a 12-month contract. You will own the full commercial lifecycle from bid to delivery, acting as the focal point for major defence programmes and coordinating with legal to manage risk and IP.

You will lead bidding, ensure contractual compliance, and build relationships with customers and international partners while briefing executives on performance and risk.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have proven contract management and bidding experience in defense, aerospace, or advanced engineering.
• Experience with MOD/DE&S or DEFCONs and defense procurement frameworks is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills across all levels are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end Route to Contract during bidding phases with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee contractual compliance, amendments, risk profiles and delivery obligations.
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with key customers and international partners.
• Serve as primary contact for contractual queries, coordinating with legal counsel on risks and IP.
• Brief senior executives on contract performance, progress, and risk mitigation.
