Job summary

WSP is seeking a Commercial Lead in the UK to provide commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of complex infrastructure projects. Initially focused in the North West, the role grows within a broader portfolio, balancing client needs, people priorities and strong operational performance.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive commercial experience, contract management expertise with NEC4, and a collaborative leadership style.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial leadership across complex infrastructure programmes.
• Experience with NEC4 contracts and contract management.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Knowledge of commercial tools and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across complex infrastructure projects from feasibility to delivery and operations.
• Act as a senior leader and trusted advisor, building strong client relationships.
• Work with Defence and Security and wider leadership to ensure plans are resourced and delivered.
• Anticipate resource needs and support recruitment of required skills.
• Demonstrate commitment to people development and mentoring future leaders.
• Build internal and external networks to gather insights and support future work winning.
• Lead with energy to align diverse teams with clear commercial direction.
• Champion systems and processes to ensure value for money and programme targets.
• Support major bids and engage with clients on upcoming opportunities.
