Job summary

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Commercial Officer in Corsham to support the full procurement lifecycle, from definition to contract award and ongoing management. This role requires strong commercial judgement, stakeholder engagement and the ability to deliver value for money while aligning with defence priorities.

You will work with internal teams and suppliers to implement category strategies, manage contracts post-award, and ensure compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement lifecycle from definition to contract management.
• Proven ability to implement category strategies and achieve savings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Negotiation with suppliers to obtain value for money.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities from market engagement to contract award and supplier management.
• Post-award contract management, performance monitoring and relationship management.
• Engage with market to implement category strategies and achieve value for money.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support objectives.
• Provide commercial expertise to project teams and support approvals.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Uphold policies and promote continuous improvement within commercial function.
• Act as escalation point for commercial issues and resource planning.
