Job summary

Harnham, a leading data analytics consultancy, seeks a Data Analyst to join a workforce analytics initiative. You will build and refine Excel models to forecast workforce and financial outcomes, and analyse large datasets.

You will translate business questions into analytical frameworks, create scenario analyses, and present findings to senior stakeholders to inform policy decisions. A STEM degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills with complex models.
• Experience with formulas, Pivot Tables, VBA and macros.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Experience modelling complex business, workforce, or financial scenarios.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workforce, pay, and reward analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain complex Excel-based models to forecast workforce and financial outcomes.
• Develop cost modelling for pay proposals, policy changes, and workforce initiatives.
• Create scenario analysis and long-term forecasts incorporating variables such as workforce growth, attrition, and inflation.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate business and policy questions into analytical specifications and modelling frameworks.
• Produce clear reports and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Present findings and analytical insights to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with policy teams and external stakeholders to support evidence-based decisions.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of analytical methodologies and best practices.
