Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data Analyst to join a role focused on workforce analytics, policy support, and evidence-based decision making. You will deliver analyses on workforce, pay, and reward, and build complex Excel models to forecast outcomes for strategic planning.

The role requires a STEM degree and strong skills in Excel, Pivot Tables, and data interpretation. You will interact with senior stakeholders and collaborate with policy teams to shape long-term organisational strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build complex Excel models from scratch.
• Experience with formulas, Pivot Tables, charts, VBA, and macros.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capability.
• Experience modelling complex business, workforce, or financial scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workforce, pay, and reward analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain complex Excel-based models to forecast workforce and financial outcomes.
• Develop cost modelling for pay proposals, policy changes, and workforce initiatives.
• Create scenario analysis and long-term forecasts including growth, attrition, and inflation.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate business and policy questions into analytical specifications and modelling frameworks.
• Produce clear reports and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Present findings and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with policy teams and external stakeholders to support evidence-based decisions.
• Contribute to development of analytical methodologies and best practices.
