Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data Analyst to join a highly regarded organisation at the intersection of workforce analytics and policy. The role is remote with one day a month in the Leeds office, delivering analysis that informs workforce planning and pay frameworks.

You will build and interpret Excel models, perform scenario analyses, and present findings to senior stakeholders. Collaboration with policy teams is essential to support evidence-based decisions.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills and ability to build complex models from scratch.
• Experience with large datasets and forecasting scenarios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workforce, pay, and reward analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain complex Excel-based models to forecast workforce and financial outcomes.
• Develop cost modelling for pay proposals, policy changes, and workforce initiatives.
• Create scenario analysis and long-term forecasts incorporating variables such as workforce growth, attrition, and inflation.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate business and policy questions into analytical specifications and modelling frameworks.
• Produce clear reports and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Present findings and analytical insights to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with policy teams and external stakeholders to support evidence-based decisions.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of analytical methodologies and best practices.
