Job summary

Citibank is seeking a Credit Officer to underwriting commercial credit requests, analyzing financials, and preparing detailed credit summaries. You will assess risk, perform industry research, and maintain familiarity with Citi products while ensuring compliance with policies.

The role supports management, mentors junior staff, and operates within a hybrid work model offering collaboration in-office and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

Proven analytical skills including the ability to understand and assess financial statements, cash flow, and projections.
Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
Proactive with ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

Interface with originators/bankers to underwrite commercial credit extensions and ensure compliance with risk policy.
Prepare detailed credit summaries by analyzing business needs and financials.
Perform financial statement analysis and ratio analysis on companies and obligors.
Conduct industry/geographical research and due diligence as needed.
Maintain knowledge of Citibank products and services and ensure policy compliance.
Support management with action prioritization and project work; mentor junior officers.
Assist with risk assessment and escalation of control issues as required.
