Citi is hiring a Credit Officer in the Greater London area to support underwriting for commercial credit extensions. You will analyze financial statements, interpret financing needs, and provide final credit decisions with a focus on risk management and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while collaborating with originators and bankers within Citi's risk framework.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interface with originators and bankers to underwrite credit extensions for clients with ownership responsibilities for sound credit decisions.
• Prepare detailed credit summaries and render final credit decisions after analyzing the business and cash needs.
• Perform detailed financial analysis including trend and ratio analysis on companies.
• Assess repayment capacity based on financial statements for obligors and guarantors.
• Conduct industry and geographic due diligence as needed.
