Citigroup is seeking a Credit Officer in a hybrid UK role to support originators and bankers in underwriting commercial credit requests. You will analyze business needs, assess risks, and render final credit decisions while ensuring compliance with internal policies. Collaboration with risk, underwriting, and client teams is essential.

You will also drive process improvements, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders across Citi's global network.

Qualifications

• Proven analytical skills for financial statements, cash flow, and projections.
• Knowledge of intermediate accounting theory as applied to underwriting.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• Proficient with Excel and financial analysis tools.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite commercial credit extensions for new and existing clients.
• Prepare detailed credit summaries analyzing business, finance needs, and risks.
• Perform financial and ratio analyses on obligors and guarantors.
• Conduct industry and geographical due diligence and ensure policy compliance.
• Identify process improvements to reduce costs and improve service.
• Provide backup to the Group Manager and mentor junior officers.
• Escalate control issues with transparency and manage risk.
