Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Teesside is recruiting a Senior Cost Engineer to join a growing Energy & Natural Resources team. You will manage package-level cost, forecast and performance analysis, ensuring cost information is robust and aligned with progress and forecast outturn reporting.

You will collaborate with Planning, QS, Commercial and Construction teams, challenge cost submissions with evidence-based analysis, and support on-site engagement across project packages.

Qualifications

• Cost engineering on major construction projects (onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, energy transition, heavy industry)
• Forecasting, reporting, variance analysis; FTC/FCAC reviews
• Experience with contractor/subcontractor cost data and package-level reporting
• Understanding of construction delivery, site progress and commercial interfaces
• Ability to challenge cost submissions with evidence-based analysis

Responsibilities

• Provide package-level cost management, forecasting and performance analysis across key project scopes.
• Interface with Planning, QS, Commercial and Construction to ensure visibility of actual and forecast costs, variances and risk.
• Develop clear cost narratives and reporting outputs to support stakeholders.
