Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking an ambitious Corporate Commercial Partner in Cardiff to lead and grow a regional law firm's corporate and commercial offering. You will shape strategy, deepen client relationships and identify new opportunities to drive growth.

The successful candidate will bring significant corporate/commercial experience and a collaborative, entrepreneurial leadership style aimed at expanding the department and the firm's regional presence.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in corporate and commercial law with strong technical grounding and commercial judgment.
• Track record of building trusted client relationships and developing business.
• Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for sustainable departmental growth.
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to support, motivate and develop colleagues.
• Forward-thinking and entrepreneurial approach to shaping the practice's future.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the department's strategic growth plans.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying new opportunities.
• Build on the firm's regional network and wider commercial relationships.
• Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including M&A, restructurings, contracts and joint ventures.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated client service.
• Support development and progression of colleagues within the team.
• Contribute to the firm's wider business strategy and sustainable growth.
