Job summary

The Department for Transport is recruiting a TFM Contractual and Commercial Assurance Manager based in Birmingham to lead and influence ALBs, service providers and other stakeholders. The role focuses on contract management, performance analysis, and risk mitigation across the TFM portfolio, delivering improvements while ensuring compliance with government standards.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Promote collaborative working relationships across the contract and wider directorate; task manage the TFM Contractual and Commercial Assurance Coordinator.
• Oversee service delivery, ensuring contractual performance through partnership with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance, analyse service performance data, and recommend corrective actions for non-compliance.
• Manage data and KPIs, leading reviews and improvements to enhance performance visibility and alignment.
• Identify and mitigate risks, maintaining risk registers and leading resolution meetings across business units.
• Engage stakeholders, facilitating workshops, providing commercial and contract management guidance while driving continuous improvement.
• Support contract operations, producing reports, lead site compliance visits, and ensuring consistent use of contractual tools.
• Contribute strategically, aligning contract delivery with government standards and asset management plans.
