Job summary

Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering is seeking a qualified Planner for the Sizewell C project in the UK. The role focuses on creating and maintaining detailed construction schedules, coordinating labour, equipment and materials, and ensuring timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and experience with P6, Asta or MS Project. Knowledge of contract documentation and tender planning is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning activities for construction projects.
• Ability to interpret contract documentation and develop compliant programmes.
• Strong problem solving and data-driven decision making.
• Proven track record coordinating labour, equipment and materials.
• Experience in change control and baseline management.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage comprehensive construction project schedules.
• Optimize resource allocation and improve planning efficiency.
• Develop design, procurement and construction strategies for tenders.
• Produce planning deliverables: programmes, philosophies, presentations, reports.
• Manage and maintain contract programmes and baselines.
• Identify critical paths and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers; monitor performance.
• Use project data and KPIs to track progress and variances.
