Alexander Daniels Finance Recruitment is recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager in North Warwickshire. The role partners with commercial and operational teams to drive profitability and robust financial reporting across a construction-focused business.

You will own project accounting, cash flow, WIP, and month-end processes while supporting operational decision-making and strategic planning. A strong Excel capability and CIMA/ACCA/ACA study are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a management accounting or finance business partnering role.
• Experience within the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or project-based sectors.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with project accounting and work-in-progress accounting principles.
• Experience preparing management accounts, forecasts and financial analysis.

Responsabilités

• Partner with commercial and operational teams to monitor project performance and profitability.
• Support the preparation and review of project cost and value reporting.
• Develop understanding of contract terms and payment mechanisms to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Work closely with project managers and commercial teams to support project valuations and final account processes.
• Manage revenue recognition and monthly work-in-progress (WIP) accounting.
• Produce project working capital and cash flow reporting.
• Monitor project performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
• Prepare monthly WIP schedules and reconciliations.
• Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance integrity.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Produce monthly management information, KPI reporting, and flash reports for senior management.
• Support Finance Director with financial modelling, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
• Assist with year-end audits and respond to auditor queries.
