Job summary

Alexander Daniels Limited is recruiting a Finance Accounts Manager to lead the finance operations of a growing business. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain robust records and uphold internal controls and policies while developing a high-performing team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee accounts payable, supplier reconciliations and monthly accruals, and provide regular financial reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial management and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Payable team and operations.
• Oversee reconciliation and review of accounts.
• Input client budgets accurately.

• Develop training plans and conduct performance reviews.

• Oversee supplier invoice processing and payments.
• Ensure supplier reconciliations and aged creditor reports are current.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Provide weekly debtor data and monthly accruals to Head of Finance.
• Identify improvements to financial systems and workflows (with approval).

This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial records, and upholding compliance with internal controls and policies. You’ll also manage and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Payable team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Oversee the reconciliation and review of accounts
• Accurate input of client budgets
• Allocate and monitor workloads, ensuring deadlines are met and high standards are maintained.
• Develop team training plans and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Oversee supplier invoice processing and payment runs.
• Ensure supplier reconciliations and aged creditor reports are accurate and up to date.
• Support audit processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain and update internal systems and accounting software with accurate site data.
• Ensure all financial activity complies with internal controls and finance policies.
• Provide regular financial reports to the Head of Finance, including weekly debtor data and monthly accruals.
• Identify and propose improvements to financial systems and workflows (subject to approval).
