Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a Partner Engagements Manager, Compliance Strategy, to lead external-facing compliance initiatives across banking partners, schemes and strategic relationships. You will own the operating model, drive annual reviews, due diligences and readiness for product or geographic expansion.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk, or related roles in payments/fintech.
• Experience leading external partner, banking, scheme, audit or due-diligence engagements.
• Ability translating regulatory expectations into practical requirements and plans.
• Experience guiding cross-functional workstreams with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven coaching or people-management ability in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the Compliance Strategy partner-engagement portfolio across banking partners and schemes.
• Develop and continuously improve the operating model for partner engagements and governance.
• Lead annual KYC/AML partner reviews, onboarding, RFIs, and other external engagements end-to-end.
• Represent Compliance in partner meetings with input on framework, risk management, policies and controls.
• Provide oversight on response packs, control narratives, and evidence, ensuring accuracy.
• Support scheme, product-launch and geographic-expansion initiatives with external obligations.
• Translate partner feedback into strategic roadmap priorities and process improvements.
• Build cross-functional relationships to align delivery across teams and regions.
• Govern engagement risks, issues, decisions, actions and remediation; escalate as needed.
• Produce concise updates for Compliance leadership and governance committees.
• Collaborate with second-line teams to ensure alignment with risk appetite and three lines of defence.
