Job summary

hireful in London is seeking an experienced communications professional to cover maternity leave, leading the communications function at a strategic level.

The role is hybrid, with 2-3 days on site around West/SW London and occasional national travel. Salary £46,225 plus a £3,000 allowance. You will drive campaigns, elevate voices of lived experience, and ensure messaging is compassionate and values-driven.

Qualifications

• Senior communications, PR or marketing experience with strategy design and evaluation.
• Excellent writing and relationship-building with audience engagement.
• Experience or understanding of criminal justice or social justice sectors.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Oversee communications plans, evaluate KPIs, and champion values-driven messaging.
• Digital & Content: Manage digital platforms and social channels to grow engagement.
• Marketing & Branding: Protect and develop the charity's visual and written identity.
• Lived Experience: Ethically amplify voices of those with lived experience through case studies.
• PR & Events: Lead media relations and coordinate events and staff gatherings.
