Qualifications

• Knowledge of precision machining, mechanical products and raw materials.
• Experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Awareness of PESTLE factors affecting commodity management.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace/defence).
• Strong supplier performance management and tendering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity strategies for mechanical products and raw materials.
• Lead supplier decisions with cost, quality, lead time and risk.
• Manage supply-chain risk including sole-source constraints.
• Collaborate with suppliers at senior levels to resolve issues.
• Lead major supplier negotiations and contracts.
• Identify and develop new suppliers per company strategy.
• Support supplier quarterly business reviews and cross-functional sourcing.
