Job summary

Lanes Group plc in the UK is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead commercial performance across contracts and frameworks. You will drive governance, profitability, and contractual entitlement, working closely with operations, clients and senior stakeholders.

Based in Wales, you will provide leadership across the Welsh Water portfolio, oversee cost control, forecasting and reporting, and deliver continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Essential: proven experience as Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar.
• Essential: NEC contracts knowledge and contract administration experience.
• Essential: cost/value/risk forecasting and reporting experience.
• Essential: strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Essential: change control, contractual claims and negotiations experience.
• Essential: excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Essential: ability to influence at all levels and strong leadership.
• Essential: advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial activities across allocated contracts, projects or frameworks.
• Drive cost control, margin protection and cash recovery.
• Ensure robust governance, controls and reporting.
• Lead CVR reviews and provide reporting on costs, revenue, risks and opportunities.
• Support business planning, forecasting and budgeting.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations and Delivery.
