Job summary

The Underfloor Heating Store is seeking a Commercial Category Manager to own pricing, margins and range optimisation from our Basildon-based team. You will analyse sales data, translate insights into actionable plans and work with cross-functional teams to grow profitability.

As part of the Highbourne Group, you will drive commercial performance and contribute to strategic category decisions across channels, applying advanced Excel skills and a commercial mindset to maximise ASP and mix.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in category management or related analytic role.
• Strong ability to turn data into practical commercial recommendations.
• Understanding of revenue, gross margin, ASP, and product mix.

Responsibilities

• Own pricing, margin targets and range optimisation for assigned categories.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.
• Monitor gross margin across channels and suggest corrective actions.
• Evaluate promotions and campaigns to inform future activity.
• Track competitor pricing and market positioning in heating/home-improvement sectors.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Purchasing to deliver prioritized commercial plans.
