Job summary

Aegon N.V. is seeking a Client Relationship Director to lead strategic relationships in the Workplace team. This permanent role focuses on expanding assets under management, retention, and profitable growth with trustees and employers, reporting to the DC Clients director.

Location options include Edinburgh, London, or Peterborough. The role emphasizes delivering a compelling platform proposition, driving digital adoption, and maintaining excellence across the client lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of DC investment solutions and the wider pensions market.
• Proven track record in managing relationships and delivering client experiences.
• Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders, including board level.
• Experience managing complex projects and client initiatives.
• Sound commercial decisions using market insight and data.
• Strategic mindset with client plans aligned to business goals.
• Creative, innovative problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• In-depth pensions legislation knowledge and industry trends.
• Ability translate technical pension proposals into client solutions.
• Professional qualification such as FPMI or FPC is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create strong relationships with clients at multiple levels to retain schemes.
• Identify opportunities to grow assets and profitability for the workplace business.
• Oversee delivery from implementation through the life of schemes.
• Develop internal relationships to influence strategic dialogue.
• Lead initiatives to secure new corporate clients and trustees.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are met in delivery.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to align propositions with market needs.
