Job summary

Addington Ball is seeking a Client Manager on a partner-track within a forward-thinking practice. You will own a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and provide proactive accounting, tax and advisory support.

You’ll lead an accounts team, review work, and collaborate with business owners on tax planning and strategic decisions, with flexibility and progression toward Partner. The firm highlights a friendly culture, hybrid working, and genuine work-life balance, along with opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong experience in an accountancy practice
• Qualified ACCA or ACA or equivalent
• Able to manage client relationships and provide advisory conversations
• Good working knowledge of tax and accounts for owner-managed businesses
• Able to review work, support colleagues and handle complex matters

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses
• Build trusted relationships and provide proactive accounting, business and personal tax advice
• Oversee and support a team of accounts staff, reviewing work
• Manage year-end accounts, corporation tax, management accounts and deadlines
• Advise business owners on practical tax planning, including tax-efficient profit extraction
• Get involved in wider assignments such as R&D tax claims with specialists
