Job summary

Addington Ball Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Practice Accountant / Client Manager for a Leeds-based practice. You will manage owner-managed business clients, provide proactive accountancy and tax advice, and lead a team to deliver high-quality service.

You will develop relationships, mentor juniors, drive process improvements, and contribute to business development while maintaining a healthy work-life balance with hybrid working.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
• Confident communicating with clients and building lasting relationships.
• Enjoys developing and supporting junior team members.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client service.
• Audit exposure would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide proactive accountancy and tax advice.
