Job summary

Public Sector Organisation in central London is seeking a Strategic Change Manager on an initial 6-month contract to lead people, organisational and cultural aspects of major transformation programmes, delivering sustainable benefits.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you will influence senior stakeholders, shape operating models and drive adoption across departments. Hybrid work, 3 days per week. Rate is £600-£650 per day umbrella.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex transformation programmes.
• Proven track record in enterprise-scale change initiatives.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and executive communication.
• Ability to influence across senior leadership.
• Knowledge of public sector or local government environments desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of change strategies, plans and interventions.
• Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on organisational impacts of change.
• Ensure transformation aligns with priorities, objectives and goals.
• Support the development of operating models, service redesign and transformation initiatives.
• Influence programme and project business cases to include change impacts and benefits.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies for complex programmes.
• Facilitate leadership discussions to build alignment and ownership.
• Lead organisational readiness assessments and targeted interventions.
• Design and oversee change impact assessments across people, process, technology, governance and culture.
• Provide assurance on programme readiness, engagement and adoption risks across portfolios.
• Support benefits realisation by developing measures and monitoring performance.
• Produce reports and recommendations for senior leadership and governance boards.
• Build change management capability through coaching and leadership development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of transformation frameworks.
