Job summary

ERP Limited is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead Solar PV and Battery Storage projects from enquiry through design, installation and handover. You will coordinate multiple sites across London and Southeast, liaising with engineers, subcontractors and clients.

You will report to the Technical Director, manage project programmes and budgets, ensure MCS/BS7671 compliance, and drive growth of the solar division while maintaining strong client communications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Solar PV and electrical contracting.
• Experience delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage projects from survey to handover.
• Knowledge of SolarEdge, PV Sol or Reonic and CRM systems.
• Full UK driving licence and electrical qualifications (JIB Gold Card preferred).

Solar Project Manager – Solar PV & Battery Storage

Surrey | London & Southeast | £55,000 + Vehicle/Car Allowance

Are you an experienced Solar Project Manager with a strong electrical background looking for your next opportunity?

We are working with a multi-award-winning business operating across the renewable energy, electrical and sustainability sectors. With an established track record of delivering energy-efficient solutions across London and the Southeast, the business is continuing to grow its Solar PV and Battery Storage division.

We are now looking for an experienced Solar Project Manager to work closely alongside the Technical Director and play a key role in the continued development of the division.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solar professional who wants to take ownership of projects from initial enquiry and survey through to design, installation, commissioning and handover, while having genuine input into the continued growth of the business.

The Role

Based from the company's offices in Surrey, with travel to sites across London and the Southeast, you will coordinate multiple Solar PV and Battery Storage projects, working closely with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.

You will become a key point of contact within the division, supporting the Technical Director with the day-to-day running of projects and helping drive the continued growth of the Solar division.

You will manage projects from initial enquiry and survey through to installation, commissioning and handover, reviewing surveys, designs, quotations and project requirements to ensure projects are properly planned and delivered.

The role will involve coordinating labour, materials, access equipment and subcontractors, while managing project programmes, costs and profitability. You will also attend site meetings, carry out progress inspections and ensure clients and stakeholders are kept updated throughout the project lifecycle.

You will manage DNO applications, commissioning information and handover documentation, while ensuring installations comply with MCS requirements, BS 7671 and company standards.

You’ll also be expected to identify and resolve technical or logistical issues before they impact project delivery, maintain accurate project information through the company's CRM and provide a high level of communication and customer service throughout each project.

About You

We are looking for an organised, commercially aware and technically capable solar professional who is comfortable taking ownership of multiple projects and making decisions independently.

You should have 5+ years' experience within Solar PV, ideally with strong knowledge of solar stringing system design, alongside a solid electrical contracting background.

Experience delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage or electrical projects from survey and design through to installation and handover is highly desirable.

You’ll ideally have experience using SolarEdge, PV Sol or Reonic, as well as managing and updating a CRM system. A strong understanding of project costs, margins and commercial delivery is important, together with excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with clients, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially minded and detail-focused, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

A full UK driving licence and full electrical qualifications are required, ideally including a JIB Gold Card or equivalent. Solar PV / EESS qualifications such as C&G, BPEC, LCL or EAL would be advantageous, as would knowledge of MCS processes.
