Job summary

Unipart Manufacturing in Coventry is launching a high-velocity electrification and injection moulding project. We seek a commercially sharp Buyer to support strategic sourcing, NPI, and procurement across electrification components and services.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, you will negotiate supplier terms, manage data in ERP/MRP, and secure continuity of supply while driving continuous improvement and value across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience working in purchasing/procurement, ideally in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Strong contract negotiation, supplier cost analysis, and commercial terms understanding.
• Track record of managing supplier relationships and supporting new project introductions.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and NPI purchasing for goods, materials, electrification components, and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, improve terms, conduct spend analyses, and drive cost savings.
• Monitor supply risks and ensure uninterrupted material flow between suppliers and internal teams.
• Manage purchasing data, contracts, supplier onboarding, and KPI reporting.
• Embed standardised workflows and continuous improvement across procurement operations.
