Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd, in partnership with an established engineering manufacturer, seeks a Buyer to identify and source new suppliers to reduce material costs. Metals/fabrication knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• This role requires proven purchasing experience in manufacturing/engineering, with ability to source new suppliers and reduce costs.
• Experience raising and managing purchase orders and strong supplier negotiation skills are essential.
• Industry knowledge in metals/fabrication is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Raise, process and manage purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, availability, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Monitor outstanding orders and chase late deliveries to maintain schedules.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and product records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Assist with supplier selection and ongoing supplier management.
• Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and build strong relationships.
