Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a Buyer or procurement role within manufacturing or engineering.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier performance monitoring.
• Experience with cost reduction and supplier risk management.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials and services.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and contracts with suppliers.
• Raise and manage purchase orders through ERP.
• Monitor supplier performance: delivery, quality, cost.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and planning teams.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Resolve supply chain issues and manage supplier risks.
• Maintain records and generate procurement reports.
• Challenge supplier pricing where appropriate.
