Job summary

7 Steel UK in Cardiff is seeking a Strategic Buyer to drive coordinated sourcing across 7 Steel and 7 Steel Service. You will interpret spends and supplier data to identify opportunities for common sourcing and deliver value to the group.

You will travel across the UK and occasionally internationally to meet suppliers and depots, collaborate with teams, and build robust supply chain strategies. CIPS qualification is preferred, and you’ll bring energy, adaptability and strong stakeholder

Strategic Buyer

7 Steel UK – Cardiff

Up to £45,000

Joining us as a Strategic Buyer, your role will be varied and exciting, as your time will be spent between 7 Steel UK and 7 Steel Service. Your main responsibilities will include the development of coordinated supply chain strategies, interpretation of spends and suppliers, and identification of opportunities for common sourcing across 7 Steel.

We are looking for someone who is willing to travel across the UK, and occasionally internationally, to meet with our UK and ASEAN based suppliers, as well as visit 7 Steel Service depots and 7 Steel Nordics. You will be a confident collaborator and communicator, to effectively manage this stakeholder engagement, as well as working closely with your team. Preferably, you will be CIPS qualified, but what is most important to us, is that you’re adaptable, driven and bring energy to the team.
