Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Business Development Director for a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to drive work-winning strategy nationwide and lead tendering and pre-construction activities.

The role requires expert bid management, tender submissions and leadership of ECI and PCSA engagements, with regular travel across the UK to offices, client sites and project locations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development, tendering, estimating and/or project delivery within civil engineering.
• Experience leading full bid and work-winning lifecycle.
• Strong client-facing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the cradle-to-grave work-winning cycle from initial client engagement to contract award.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships across civil engineering markets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and lead bid management and tender submissions.
• Lead ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) and PCSA engagements with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with estimating, commercial and operations to develop winning solutions and ensure smooth pre-construction to delivery handover.
