Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join its IT function during a period of transformation. You will help modernise our technology landscape, leverage data, digital innovation and AI to improve decision-making and deliver lasting value.

You will operate beyond traditional requirements gathering, spanning complex business and technology initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders to ensure solutions are grounded in evidence, practicality and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience applying Business Analysis tools, methodologies and techniques.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Experience translating business needs into practical solutions and actionable recommendations.
• The ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced and evolving environments.
• Experience partnering with Project Managers, Platform Owners and delivery teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Business Analysis activity across complex business and technology change initiatives.
• Work with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, to define scope, objectives and desired outcomes.
• Translate business challenges into clear, practical and value-driven solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, drive stakeholder engagement and build alignment across teams.
• Analyse current and future processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support solution design, business readiness, testing and implementation activities.
• Provide constructive challenge, informed recommendations and evidence‑based insight to support decision‑making.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Business Analysis capability across the organisation.
