Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to shape how SAP supports business processes and operational performance across the organisation. You will translate business needs into practical SAP solutions, collaborating with platform owners, engineers, and stakeholders to drive value and simplify processes.

In this role you will help ensure SAP capabilities are used effectively, focus on standard functionality, and support delivery from discovery through handover while promoting

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SAP ECC6 and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Expertise across SAP SD, QM and PP modules.
• Experience delivering SAP configuration, implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
• Solid understanding of ABAP, interfaces and custom development.
• Experience translating business requirements into effective technology solutions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with stakeholders across business and IT functions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges, define business outcomes.
• Translate requirements into solution options, platform enhancements, and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with SAP engineers to maximise standard SAP functionality.
• Support the full delivery lifecycle from discovery to handover.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate, and optimise SAP and manufacturing systems.
• Contribute to platform roadmaps, governance and future-state designs.
• Ensure platform changes support operational readiness and adoption.
• Promote continuous improvement of SAP capabilities across the organisation.
