Job summary

University of York's Professional Education and Skills team seeks a dynamic senior business development lead to expand our training portfolio with corporate and public-sector clients in technology, engineering and applied sciences.

You will identify, qualify and secure high-value contracts by understanding client needs and aligning them with our training expertise, coordinating with internal and external trainers to deliver tailored solutions. Interview dates are to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of building relationships with industry partners and generating income.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in identifying market opportunities and creating viable leads.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyse workforce development needs and map them to training offerings.
• Ability to translate academic expertise into a coherent course roadmap and proposals.
• Strong writing skills for proposals and tender responses.
• Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience.
