Job summary

H9 Talent Solutions is seeking a BD Manager for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage in Warrington, with hybrid working. The role pays £65,000 plus bonus and a company car, and involves owning opportunities from initial contact to tender and award.

The successful candidate will build a pipeline, lead tender submissions and coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams to deliver competitive, commercially sound solutions.

Qualifications

• Track record in technical B2B sales and business development.
• Experience generating leads, managing complex proposals and closing deals.
• Experience in solar PV, battery storage or wider renewables.
• Background from electrical contracting, energy services, engineering, infrastructure or construction.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals and industry events.
• Build a qualified pipeline and convert opportunities into secured project orders.
• Develop relationships with customers, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Lead tender submissions and coordinate technical and commercial input into proposals.
• Work with internal teams to develop competitive, commercially sound customer solutions.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support contract execution.
• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM records.
