Job summary

Cognite seeks a seasoned Business Development Director to lead the Growth of our Supply Chain Center of Excellence. You will win new Supply Chain work within territory accounts, acting as a subject matter expert to transform customers’ supply chain value chains using Cognite Applications and Cognite Data Fusion.

You will guide strategy, lead deal teams, and collaborate with product and marketing to deliver measurable ROI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing or industrial supply chain.
• 7+ years of direct or in-support sales experience selling enterprise software/SaaS to C-level executives.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding SaaS bookings goals.
• Experience operating in high-growth startup environments (Series A–C).
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted territory strategy to accelerate bookings growth.
• Prospect and generate pipeline while leveraging your network to provide commercial insights.
• Lead extended territory teams through complex enterprise sales cycles to exceed bookings targets.
• Quantify ROI and build business cases for C-suite buy-in.
• Collaborate with partners to qualify opportunities and drive joint engagements.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with executives by demonstrating long-term value.
• Partner with Product Management and Marketing to feed market insights into strategy.
• Forecast monthly/quarterly bookings and maintain account records in Salesforce.
