Job summary

The Emerald Group in London seeks a Manager, Strategic Analytics to lead initiatives that translate advanced analytics into risk quantification, pricing innovation, underwriting research, and product development.

Fully qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent) with 5–7 years in actuarial or analytics roles and strong skills in R, Python and SQL. You will guide cross-functional teams and embed analytics into actuarial processes.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent).
• 5–7 years in actuarial or analytics roles.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and stakeholder management.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Exposure to pricing/underwriting research or product development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive analytics projects using novel datasets to advance risk modelling and underwriting innovation.
• Lead ideation and execution of advanced analytics supporting Protection and Savings & Retirement strategies.
• Embed analytics techniques into actuarial processes for quantifying risks.
• Support utilization of the Data Analytics Platform (DAP).
• Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver complex analytics initiatives.
