Job summary

ACCPRO, in partnership with a leading UK client, seeks an experienced Director of Programmes to drive delivery and commercial performance of a portfolio of complex engineering programmes within a regulated environment. You will join the senior leadership team, overseeing the full lifecycle from bid development to customer delivery.

The role requires tenacious leadership, governance, risk and financial control, and the ability to build executive-level relationships.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in programme or project leadership, with five years leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering complex programmes in aerospace, space, defence or similarly regulated engineering.
• Proven accountability for commercial performance including revenue, margins, cash flow and forecasting.
• Strong governance, risk management and portfolio reporting experience.
• Experience implementing or improving programme management processes for end-to-end oversight.
• Confident managing senior customer relationships and engaging with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the programme management function across a portfolio of customer contracts.
• Oversee Programme Managers and Project Leaders; drive revenue, profitability, cash flow and delivery schedules.
• Maintain governance, performance reporting, risk management and change-control processes.
• Build senior-level customer relationships and act as escalation point for significant issues.
• Work with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Quality to resource and deliver programmes.
• Support bids, proposals, cost estimates, delivery plans and contract negotiations.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and delivery performance.
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting and growth as a senior leader.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, security and export-control requirements.
