Overview

As a Strategic Account Director at Profusion CRM, you’ll be the strategic partner senior marketing leaders rely on to turn complex business challenges into smart, data-driven CRM and marketing automation solutions. You’ll play a central role in shaping and delivering tailored programmes that drive real commercial impact - whether that’s increasing customer lifetime value, improving retention, or orchestrating sophisticated multi-channel journeys at scale.

This role isn’t just about managing accounts, it’s about unlocking growth. You’ll lead high-value conversations, identify cross-sell opportunities, and craft compelling business cases that open doors to new initiatives and long-term partnerships. Working side by side with our enterprise clients, you’ll help them navigate transformation with confidence - aligning strategy, technology, and people to deliver change that lasts. Key Responsibilities
• You will be a trusted advisor to our clients on how CRM/Marketing Automation can solve key business challenges and position Profusion as a strategic partner to help drive growth
• Think holistically and develop long-term, strategic solutions that align with client strategic priorities.
• Build new CRM strategies for our clients, and work with our data, technical development, campaign management and strategic teams together with the client to implement, review and refresh these strategies.
• Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with key client stakeholders, and our partners.
• Own and lead business pitches and proposals, creating the solution and project scope whilst setting client expectations.
• Work with our teams to design and deliver complex projects to our clients.
• Drive value through leading quarterly business reviews and engaging with senior executives and key stakeholders
• Proactively identify and develop opportunities for account growth and identify new areas for driving expansion across different units and geographies
• Lead the sales process for existing accounts from opportunity identification to negotiation and close
• Provide regular updates to leadership on account health, pipeline progression and growth opportunities.

Personal Specification: Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Knowledge & Experience
• Strong experience in delivering mature CRM/Marketing Automation initiatives.
• Experience in a similar consulting or strategy role.
• Experience in facilitating client workshops and pitch meetings is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of CRM/Marketing Automation tools and techniques to be productive in understanding the interpretation from strategy to execution in platforms
• Demonstrable experience in strategic account management, managing enterprise or key account
• Track record of closing large and high-quality deals
• Deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape

Skills & Competencies
• A digital marketing and digital transformation expert, well versed in multi-channel marketing, CRM, analytics and the delivery of data-driven business solutions
• Excellent analytical skills – you listen to clients, spot a business challenge and create innovative solutions to drive change. You have proven experience delivering high quality digital projects and strategic insights in a client service environment
• A demonstrable core strategic consulting skillset – you are solution-led, with the ability to act in a trusted advisor capacity and the ability to build strong relationships and rapport with clients to deliver concrete results.
• Stellar written and verbal communications skills: you can explain very complex problems simply and effectively to those who are not experts in the subject.
• Strong commercial acumen: you can spot and develop commercial opportunities.
• A lateral thinker, able to juggle multiple projects, bids and team responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• An eye for detail and the big picture.
• Confident in presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Coaching and leadership skills are an advantage.
