Job summary

WMCA is seeking an Academy Officer on a fixed-term contract to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the WMCA Academy. You will coordinate learning pathways, self-service resources and stakeholder engagement to make learning more accessible and impactful for colleagues across the organisation.

You will monitor performance and learner experience, collaborating with People Business Partners, OD and Talent, while researching emerging digital learning trends to guide future

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating projects, programmes or initiatives.
• Experience developing/maintaining learning and development services, systems or programmes.
• Experience producing reports and management data.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with multiple priorities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and improvement of the WMCA Academy operating model and governance.
• Develop accessible, user-centred Academy services, learning pathways and guidance.
• Monitor performance, learner experience and impact using data and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with People Partners, OD, Talent and Communications to maximise engagement.
• Research emerging technologies and digital learning trends to inform development.
• Ensure learning activity is well managed with value-for-money through governance and reporting.
